Joost Kooren has extensive experience in national and international mergers and acquisitions and has been a lawyer since 2011. Before joining Windt Le Grand Leeuwenburgh as counsel in June 2023, he worked, i.a., at NautaDutilh and Houthoff.
Joost has a particular interest in private equity-related transactions, where he has acted on both the private equity parties' side and the other side. Joost has also been involved in a variety of other transactions, collaborations and structuring.
Among others, Joost advised:
- a private equity fund in its investments in Squla, SK AeroSafety and NMi;
- a joint venture cooperation between a major Dutch chemical company and an international financial sponsor in the field of green hydrogen;
- several major shareholders when selling their companies to a private equity party.
He is also a member of the M&A aan de Maas foundation.
