Arthur de Ruiter has been with Windt Le Grand Leeuwenburgh since September 2024 and has been practicing as an attorney since 2021. He advises and litigates on matters relating to intellectual property law and competition law.
Previously, he worked at Loyens & Loeff in the Litigation & Risk Management and Competition & Regulatory practice groups. Arthur obtained Master’s degrees in Corporate Law and Financial Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Recent matters
- Assisting Peinemann Mobilift Groep B.V., a company in the automotive sector, in a substantial trademark dispute concerning the sale of a batch of BMW vehicles originating from the Fremantle Highway, which were subject to seizure. In this context, we conducted summary proceedings to have the seizure lifted and are representing the client in both the appeal proceedings and the ongoing proceedings on the merits.
- Assisting an oil company before the District Court of Rotterdam and on appeal before the Court of Appeal of The Hague in a dispute with a tank storage company regarding a customs reassessment.
