Ep Hannema joined Windt Le Grand Leeuwenburgh as a Corporate Partner on 1 January 2022. Ep started as a lawyer at Nauta Dutilh in 1988 and then worked as a partner at Houthoff before setting up the Amsterdam office of Norton Rose Fulbright with a number of colleagues in 2002.
His corporate law practice consists mainly of counselling on (distressed) M&A transactions and advising boards of directors and supervisory boards on legal issues with a significant strategic component. He has extensive experience in (large) acquisitions, including BMW's €3.5 billion acquisition of ING Car Lease. The sectors in which he is most active are Financial Institutions and Retail (food and non-food).
In 2019/2020 Ep completed the special course 'Financial and Economic Criminal Law' at the VU in Amsterdam. In addition, he has been active for more than 18 years as a supervisory director at listed companies and family businesses, and has also been involved in management for many years at Norton Rose Fulbright, both in the Netherlands as well as internationally.
