Ruben Leeuwenburgh has been a lawyer since 2007 and specializes in restructuring and corporate litigation. He has extensive experience in shareholder disputes, inquiry proceedings, and complex restructurings. In 2016, he co-founded Windt Le Grand Leeuwenburgh.

Restructurings
- Represented the shareholders of IHC Merwede in the company’s refinancing and subsequent rescue operation (EUR 1.6 billion, led by HAL).
- Advised the lenders of Hemisphere (EUR 750 million), the real estate division of Steinhoff, during its financial crisis triggered by fraud.
- Acted for Banco Santander in the restructuring of Brazilian telecom company Oi Telecom (structured through the Netherlands, bond programme).
- Led the restructuring of a manufacturer of intelligent transport systems.
- Advised on the restructuring of an international private label fashion group.
- Provided counsel on the revision of the (foundation) structure of a major public institution.
Corporate Litigation
- Termination of longstanding joint ventures.
- Liability proceedings involving supervisory directors of a listed company implicated in fraud.
- Inquiry proceedings on behalf of shareholders, managing directors, and supervisory board members.
- Represented a TBI subsidiary in connection with the bankruptcy of HES Tank Terminal.
- Preliminary relief proceedings regarding voting rights within a shipbuilding consortium (as part of arbitration in Singapore).
- Settlement of a shareholder dispute in the public sector.
