Timme Geerlof is a partner at Windt Le Grand Leeuwenburgh, specializing in commercial litigation with a strong focus on intellectual property law. He advises and litigates on trademark, design, copyright, and trade name matters, and serves as a (guest) lecturer and examiner for the professional training of Benelux trademark and design attorneys. Recent matters
- Acting for Peinemann Mobilift Groep B.V., a company in the automotive sector, in extensive trademark litigation concerning the sale of a batch of BMW vehicles originating from the Fremantle Highway that were subject to seizure. In this context, we have, among other things, conducted preliminary relief proceedings to lift the seizure and are representing the client in both the appeal and the ongoing proceedings on the merits.
- Acting for an oil company before the Rotterdam District Court and on appeal before the Court of Appeal in The Hague in a dispute with a tank storage company concerning a customs reassessment.
- Acting for a parallel trader in proceedings regarding alleged trademark infringement, focusing on protecting the position of the parallel trader vis-à-vis the trademark owner.
- Acting for one of the largest logistics service providers in the Netherlands in complex proceedings concerning the liability of logistics service providers in cases of alleged trademark infringements by third parties.
