Financing, Restructuring and Insolvency

Yvette advises clients on a wide range of financing transactions, solvent wind-ups and restructurings, often in distressed situations. She also regularly litigates on financing and insolvency-related matters. Before joining Windt Le Grand Leeuwenburgh in 2021, Yvette worked for six years at a leading Benelux law firm in London and Amsterdam. She also gained valuable experience during secondments at a bank, working in the financial restructuring & recovery and asset-based finance departments.

Insolvency and Restructuring

  • Advising a large PE portfolio company on its financial restructuring, resulting in an equity redistribution, debt reduction and capital injection.
  • Advising on a WHOA proceeding that resulted in a successful debt reduction from €22 million to €4.3 million
  • Assisting the Dutch management of a proxy company with the option analysis, stabilisation and refinancing of its Swiss parent company.
  • Assisting the liquidator of Steinhoff Recovery Foundation.
  • Assisting with the refinancing of a challenging real estate development in the Hague region.

Banking and Finance

  • Assisting an agricultural company in documenting a €30 million credit agreement.
  • Assisting the financier in a €5 million credit financing to an innovative cleantech company.
  • Assisting the financier in a €4.5 million real estate financing.
  • Documenting internal financing structures and private/direct lending structures for various clients.
