Advised merchant bank DVB Bank, on employment and employee participation aspects on relocating its headquarters.

Advised and acted on behalf of Dylan Steel Solutions, a worldwide distributor of steel pipes, fittings, flanges and solid steel bars regarding Dutch labour law requirements for an international closedown.

Advised the board of a Dutch retail organisation, comprising 700 employees, undergoing a reorganisation and collective lay-off.

Advised the board of Flynth, an accounting and services firm employing 1300 people (in excess of 60 establishments) in The Netherlands, on employee participation and employment law aspects. This covered a wide-scale, post-merger harmonisation of employment conditions (Flynth).

Advised BNP Paribas joint venture’s board (Economy Bank) on dealing with employee participation rights and employment law re the winding down and collective dismissal of an Amsterdam based establishment.

Assisted Concordia de Keizer, a certified insurance broker, in redressing some unlawful ‘poaching’ of customers and staff as well as violation of portfolio rights by a competitor.

Assisted GEA, a German mid-cap, on designing centralised employee (1500) participation, lay-offs and a transformation of the Dutch group of companies.

Acted for Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (Q8) on the disposal of a refinery, on employee participation and employment law related aspects of a pre-transaction reorganisation.

Assisted Excent, a chain of dental laboratories, on employment issues.

Assisted Odfjell, a global sea transport and tank terminal group listed in Oslo, in dealing with trade unions and a strike, in addition to a contentious reorganisation and employee lay-off of the Dutch activities following a safety shutdown.
